On Thursday 11th September 2008, NZAID will be holding an introductory workshop on the NZ Government Agencies Fund for interested NZ government agencies and other eligible organisations (for eligibility please refer to the GAF guidelines). The workshop will be a full-day event at the offices of NZAID in Wellington .
The objective of the workshop is to inform agencies of their eligibility to apply for GAF funding, give details on the application and assessment processes, and provide an understanding of the work that the GAF encompasses and an understanding of development work more generally. NZAID hosted a workshop on Pro-Poor Tourism in Wellington over 18-19 June 2007. The purpose of the workshop was to learn from international knowledge and experience in pro-poor tourism, including that of NZAID's development partners, to inform its future support in the field.
The Executive Summary aims to capture some of the key cross-themes and lessons arising from the workshop. Attached to it are the proceedings of the workshop, including the presentations and notes prepared by presenters, and a summary of notes taken during key workshop discussions.
