Asia Development Assistance Facility | Partnerships for Sustainable Development | ADAF-PSD

ADAF-PSD provides funding opportunities for New Zealand organisations (in partnership with an organisation from an eligible Asian country) to respond to development priorities by contributing knowledge, skills and innovative approaches that enhance in-country initiatives to reduce poverty. It is targeted towards New Zealand Crown entities, government departments and the private sector. Non-government organisations (NGOs) are not excluded but must be able to prove they are adding value in terms of their expertise and be able to operate on an invoicing basis.

Latin American Development Assistance Facility | Partnerships for Sustainable Development | LADAF-PSD

LADAF provides funding opportunities for New Zealand organisations (in partnership with an organisation from an eligible Latin American country) to respond to development priorities by contributing knowledge, skills and innovative approaches that enhance in-country initiatives to deliver sustainable economic development outcomes. It is targeted towards New Zealand Crown entities, government departments and the private sector. Non-government organisations (NGOs) are not excluded but must be able to prove they are adding value in terms of their expertise and be able to operate on an invoicing basis.

Kaihono hei Oranga Hapori o te Ao - Partnerships for International Community Development | KOHA-PICD

KOHA-PICD is a co-funding scheme for New Zealand non-government organisations (NGOs) focused on supporting community development activities through developing-country NGO partners. Financial support is provided for New Zealand-based project management costs and for appraisal, monitoring and evaluation visits. The KOHA-PICD places particular emphasis on: partnership, gender equity, participation, and strengthening the capacity of developing country counterparts.

The New Zealand State Sector Development Partnerships Fund (formerly known as the Government Agencies Assistance Fund - GAF) provides funding to New Zealand state sector organisations to work in partnership with New Zealand’s development partners to achieve sustainable development outcomes in their areas of expertise. | more about DPF

Global Education Fund | GEF

The Global Education Fund (GEF) is a contestable fund, open to not-for-profit organisations, for global education activities.
The aim of the GEF is to provide funding for small projects to develop awareness and understanding of global issues and perspectives among New Zealanders. The fund is administered by the Development Resource Centre and details on application and criteria are found at the Global Education Fund website.

International Development Research Fund | IDRF

The purpose of the International Development Research Fund is to enhance development policy and practice through encouraging and supporting quality international development research in developing regions, countries and sectors that align with New Zealand official development assistance priority areas. The fund is open to New Zealand based researchers to carry out research in partnership with researchers from developing countries. | more about IDRF

Postgraduate Field Research Awards

The purpose of the Postgraduate Field Research Awards is to enhance New Zealand's contribution to international development knowledge and practice through the promotion of quality student research and analysis. The fund is available to New Zealand citizens or permanent residents that are undertaking research as part of the requirements of a New Zealand-based masters degree or doctorate in a field related to international development. | more about PFRA
