Papua New Guinea |
The increases in Papua New Guinea will be targeted to governance, growth and rural livelihoods. A series of increases are planned to lift the size of the programme to $40million by 2010/11. |

Solomon Islands |
The increase in the Solomon Islands is focused on development needs in education, infrastructure and rural development. In 2007/08 the majority of the increase will go to recovery efforts in Western Province and Choisel following the Tsunami. It is expected that the overall funding to this programme will rise to around $40m by 2010/11. |

Vanuatu |
This is the first in a series of increases that will see total expenditure rise to $17m in 08/09 and $20m in 09/10. The focus areas for increased expenditure are education, economic development and governance. |

This Facility is designed for New Zealand’s response to humanitarian crises arising out of conflict and it includes NZAID’s $5.0m reconstruction programme in Afghanistan. |
