In the Cook Islands, development assistance is guided by the Te Kaveinga Nui – Living the Cook Islands Vision, a 2020 challenge and the National Sustainable Development Plan (NSDP) 2007 – 2010. Based on these documents, the Cook Islands, New Zealand (NZAID) and Australia (AusAID) have drafted a Joint Country Strategy (JCS) for 2008-17 which identifies areas of support for NZAID/AusAID development assistance. We have attached the latest draft of the Joint Country Strategy, the April 2007 NZAID Factsheet and a summary document.

The development of these strategic documents has been led by the Cook Islands Government and widely consulted with civil society organisations and community groups in the Cook Islands.
